Anguilla’s summer festivities kick off in late May with the Anguilla Day celebrations, marking the island’s independence and rich history with parades, delicious epicurean delights, local music entertainment, and various cultural displays. The island celebrations continue through August, with a vibrant mix of boat races, local concerts, and the island’s carnival celebrations, highlighted by the Anguilla Summer Festival. It’s a time for Anguillians to come together, honor their history, and share their unique culture with the world.

Anguilla Day
Annually on May 30th Anguillians celebrate Anguilla’s separation from St.Kitts and Nevis since 1967. Enjoy local island favorites at Malliouhana’s three signature restaurants, curated Spa treatments using locally grown or sourced items and unique turndown amenities that commemorate a deep sense of national pride, celebrating the island’s identity, history, and accomplishments.

Whit Monday Boat Race
This Annual ‘A Class’ boat race hosted by Malliouhana at its toes-in-the-sand beach restaurant and bar, Leon’s at Meads Bay, celebrates boat racing, the national sport of Anguilla. Watch the boat race from the beach or follow it via boat and enjoy a fun-filled day of activities including model boat racing, swimming races, sandcastle building, live entertainment, giveaways and much more.
